Babita McKasson
I was taught the integrated meditation practices of the American Meditation Society (AMS) in 1983 and attended my first AMS meditation retreat in 1984. I have benefitted greatly from this unique system of meditations, plus the practical spiritual teachings of Gururaj Ananda have been a beacon of wisdom and inspiration that have truly lead me from darkness to light. The meditation practices balance each other and can be used during the day in stressful situations. AMS practices can be integrated with any current belief system or religion you may already have.
I have taught the AMS meditation – off and on – since 1986, and have been active in attending the retreats twice a year since 1984. I had the privilege and benefit of being in the presence of Gururaj in person at the retreats while he was still in the body, which was a great gift of spiritual energy and an impetus toward self-examination and betterment.
Passing on these practices and teachings is a joy, plus a mutual benefit for both teacher and student – I would be delighted to teach anyone who feels they are ready to learn. The in-person lessons are a tradition and a great advantage of learning from an AMS teacher.
