THEME: Overcoming Life’s Challenges by Aligning Ourselves with Strength
Is life problematic? The problem is in the mind. For in every adversity there’s a wonderful opportunity.
Everything is opportune in tune with all existence. Your true nature is involved in living, breathing, smiling and enjoying life.
Linwood Spiritual Center is located in New York’s majestic Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains
on the sacred ground of Linwood Spiritual Center.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Linwood offers 34 private single room with shared baths located in two buildings.
Rooms have either a river or garden view. The main house is part of the same structure as the offices, dining, meeting rooms, and chapel, and has elevator access.
Convenient to landmark sites across the Hudson Valley, Linwood’s unique river view has been home to history throughout the centuries.
Facilities, include a labyrinth, garden and pavilion with fireplace.
DESCRIPTION: There will be group chant and satsangs (group gatherings) every morning and evening.
The retreat concludes with a group sharing before lunch on the last day. Other activities will include tai chi.
MEALS: Cost includes three meals daily served in the dining room. If you have any specific dietary restrictions let us know when you register. We will try to accommodate you. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the dining room, so feel free to provide for yourself if you have additional needs.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Linwood is 3.3 miles west of Route 9 in Rhinebeck, N.Y. and less than two hours north of New York City, about one hour south of Albany, and one hour northwest of Danbury, CT. (Use 52 Linwood Rd. address if you’re using a GPS)
