Online Introductory Meditation Class

No previous experience necessary; we will be starting at the beginning.

These six once-a-week online sessions will focus on how to meditate effortlessly. The series serves as a foundational class for further instruction as well as a stand-alone meditation class for beginners.  The course will teach a balanced set of practices including breath, mantra, and focused visualization with emphasis on correct technique, becoming the observer of thoughts, understanding the meditative process, and becoming less reactive to external events.

Instructor: Kenton Yeager is a Past President of the American Meditation Society and is a certified advanced meditation teacher. He is a tenured professor at the University of Tennessee where he also chairs the University’s Mindfulness Community of Scholars. He has been involved in visualization/meditation/mindfulness techniques, the martial arts, and Eastern philosophy for over 35 years.

When: 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26, 6/2, and 6/9 – From 7:00-8:30PM EST
